Representatives of Shenzhen Consumer Council, SICQ, Shenzhen Long-term Rental Apartment Association, Shenzhen Institute of Building Research, Shenzhen Ziroom Asset Management Co., Ltd., Danke Apartment and other companies attended the meeting.
According to the Journalists learned that the meeting would safeguard consumers and operators’ rights to solve this problem from its root. In October last year, based on the public detection of indoor air pollution in some companies by SICQ, industry enterprises, parts of the building materials enterprises, relevant inspection institutions, technical experts have begun to draw up the document, Technical Standard of Long-term Rental Apartment Decoration Pollution Controlling .
The draft put forward the indoor air quality standards and material performance requirements for long-term rental apartments and made efforts to form a complete set of technical standard for decoration pollution controlling based on the whole life cycle of long-term rental apartments including design, construction, acceptance and other processes. Standard was led by Shenzhen Consumer Council, and contributed ideas and suggestions by Shenzhen Institute of Consumption Quality, Shenzhen Institute of Building Research, Shenzhen Long-term Rental Apartment Association, Shenzhen Academy of Metrology & Quality Inspection, Shenzhen Ziroom Asset Management Co., Ltd., Danke Apartment, Underwriter Laboratories Inc., NipponPaint (China) Co., Ltd., SKSHU Paint Co., Ltd., ORIENTAL YUHONG Waterproof Technology Co., Ltd. and another nearly 20 units.
With the core of 'pre-assessment + pretreatment”, the standard was about pollution-control measures on the process of decoration design, materials procurement, construction and acceptance, combined with the goals of indoor air quality and requirements of eco-friendly materials and improved the controlling of pollution sources and design measures of pollution control. It may become an effective tool to upgrade long-term rental apartment industry.
Officials of SICQ said, it was the key on how to promote the long-term rental apartment related parties to respond positively and implement standard. The implementation of the standard should be considered the interests of all parties. They hoped “grade of apartment building materials standard” will become the synonym of good building materials with high quality and environmental protection performance in the future. This is expected to not only solve consumers’ safety problems, but also realize a win-win result for relevant enterprises.
